For herbed butter:

  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped chives
  • 1 garlic clove, finely minced
  • pinch of salt

For orange honey butter:

  • 1 stick unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons orange zest
  • 1 tablespoon honey

For truffle parmesan butter:

  • 1 stick unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons truffle salt

  1. Add the softened butter to a small bowl and whip with a fork.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well until they are evenly distributed throughout the butter.
  3. Transfer the butter to a piece of plastic wrap and form into a log-like shape.  Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and then roll to smooth out the edges of the cylinder.  Twist the ends to close the plastic wrap around the butter.
  4. Refrigerate at least 2 hours before using.
