Super Simple Small-Batch Tomato Sauce
This red sauce is so quick and easy to make with less than 10 minutes of hands-on time it will become a weeknight staple!

- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup diced yellow onion
- 4 garlic cloves minced
- 2 teaspoon dried basil
- 2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- ½ teaspoon ground pepper
- 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
- 2 teaspoon red wine vinegar
Cook the aromatics. Heat oil in a saute pan over medium heat. Add onion and saute for 3 minutes. Add garlic and saute for an additional minute.
Add the spices. Add basil, oregano, thyme, salt and pepper. Saute for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Finish the sauce. Add the tomatoes and vinegar. Stir to combine. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 30 minutes.
Serve or Freeze. Remove from heat and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 6 days or freeze for up to a month.
