I know it's still hot outside in most parts of the country but it's September and that means fall is upon us and fall is synonymous with tailgating, which is one of my favorite fall activities. There is nothing like good friends and a great football game on a crisp fall day!
When you think tailgate parties you often think of hot dogs, lunch meat and other heavy snacks. I'm all for those things but it's also nice to give guests the option of something that's better for you and vegetarian too. Enter the Greek Veggie Burger. This mouth-watering burger is vegetarian yet still loaded with wonderful flavors that will leave even your meat-loving friends asking for seconds!
These burgers start with the new MorningStar Farms® Veggie Lovers Burgers which I recently had an opportunity to try and I have to say I'm quite impressed. Each quarter-pound burger is perfectly seasoned and packs plant-based protein and veggies into every bite. One of the things I really like about these burgers is that they can go right on the grill when they are still frozen. That means you can make a last minute decision to make these and still have dinner or game time food ready in less than 30 minutes.
This is a delicious, perfectly crafted burger that will fill your bun with MORE and leave you satisfied every time… this is definitely a better for you burger packed with 12 different veggies, 2 seeds & 2 grains, plus 10 grams of Plant Based Protein. Another big plus for me? They are made with no artificial ingredients, made with non-GMO soy, and are vegan too.
I think these burgers are a great option for when family and friends get together, especially during game season where there are lots of options for fun tailgate and game time parties.
Making these burgers is easy. Just grill the patties and then the burgers get topped with traditional Greek flavors and packed into a pita pocket. Putting them in a pita makes them perfect party food, it keeps all of the tasty toppings contained for easy eating and less mess.
You can make the sauce ahead of time and bring all the fixings with you to your outdoor party. You can even toss the pita bread on the grill for a few minutes while the burgers are cooking for a little extra flavor.
Whether it's an early fall tailgate or late summer weekend party these Greek Veggies burgers are sure to be a crowd-pleaser!
